Responsibilities and Essential Duties:

• Design, Develop and Implement test plans and test cases.
• Log bugs and track issues to closure.
• Enhance and maintain test automation infrastructure and test environment.
• Collaborate with Development and QA engineers to ensure a thorough understanding of product requirements and operation.
• Mentor and train other team members.
• Subject matter expert on the product and related technologies.
• Work closely with project team to design and implement solid test coverage.
• Work closely with QA team to develop best practices.
• Research new testing technologies and procedures.
• Lead on special projects (setting up servers, test data, research, etc.)

Qualifications:

• 8-15 years SQA experience and related engineering experience.
• Experience developing and implementing test plans for complex distributed systems.
• Experience in creating, enhancing and running automation scripts. Scripting experience in PERL and/or shell in a LINUX environment.
• Must have a fundamental understanding of TCP/IP and client /server networking.
• Working knowledge of database systems. Including one or more of the following: Oracle, MySQL, SQL, DB2, Sybase.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent debugging and problem solving skills
• Proven record of mentoring and training other team members.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Other valuable skills:

• Understanding of network systems or security systems, including routers, firewalls, IDS/IPS systems, or host based.
• Knowledge of performance and / or scalability testing.
• Agile Development or similar methodologies.
• Experience performing LINUX/UNIX or Windows systems administration.
