Tizor Systems has openings for Principal Engineers with 5-15 years experience developing packet forwarding functions for networking devices.
Successful candidates will have very strong skills, experience, and interest in the following areas:

• Must have extensive experience developing forwarding path software for network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, or IDS/IPS systems.
• Must have experience developing performance critical software.
• Must have strong C/C++ skills. Ideally has developed software in C/C++ for LINUX/UNIX or has used LINUX/UNIX as a development environment.
• Must have a deep understanding of security systems, including firewalls, IDS/IPS systems like SNORT, or VPN systems.
• Must be a strong communicator.

Other skills of value include:

• Understanding of authentication systems and encryption systems.
• Experience developing deep packet inspection functions for networking systems
• Development of content filtering functions for network systems is of great value.
• LINUX Kernel experience is a strong plus.
• Grammar and parser development, for example using Lex and Yacc, is not a requirement, but would be of great value.
