Tizor Systems has openings for recent Computer Science/Engineering college graduates or candidates with 1-3 years experience in the network security or information security field.

The candidate must have a firm understanding of Java 1.5 core APIs, including multi-threading, I/O, and XML. Knowledge of MVC and other relevant design patterns. Strong knowledge of all Swing components and APIs.

Required Skills:
• Java expertise. 2-4 years of software development experience with Java/Swing.
• Experience with multithreaded Java applications.
• Experience with TCP/IP within Java. SSL experience is a plus.
• XML expertise. Experience dealing with XML within Java.
Experience with common Java development tools like Eclipse, JProfiler, and JUnit.
• Strong communication skills.
• Proven ability to take an idea from concept to design to implementation. Experience with common UI design patterns is a plus.
• Familiarity with source control systems (such as SVN) in a shared environment.

Preferred Skills:
• Experience with HTML, CSS and Java Scripts.
• Experience with Photoshop or other graphics editors.
• Experience with relational open source databases such as MySQL or Postgres.
• Experience scripting using PERL or shell scripts – in the LINUX/UNIX environment.
• Experience with TCP/IP and client /server networking.
• C/C++ programming expertise.
• Understanding of network systems or security systems, including routers, firewalls, IDS/IPS systems, or host based security system.
